VITA Dr. Matthias Klewer
Dr. Klewer studied medicine at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen from 2002-2008. During his practical year he spent part of his training in Switzerland and Malta.
In 2009, the internal medicine-cardiology specialist training began at the Neuss Municipal Clinics under the direction of Prof. Dr. med. Haude.
In 2013 he moved to the Bethesda Hospital in Mönchengladbach, where he worked under chief physician Dr. med. C. Stoepel continued his training. His focus was also on the invasive care of patients using coronary stent implantation, both electively and as part of an emergency on-call service.
In 2015 Dr. Klewer is a specialist in internal medicine and cardiology. He then began working as a senior physician in the cardiology department of the Bethesda Hospital, and at the same time he worked as an employed doctor in the cardiology group practice attached to the hospital.
Dr. Klewer received his doctorate at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen on the topic “Compound C inhibits in vitro angiogenesis and thrombin-induced endothelial barrier disruption” in 2021.
In 2023 Dr. Klewer received the additional designation of Hypertensiology – DHL® and also received the expertise “Special Cardiovascular Prevention” from the German Society for Cardiology (DGK).
In order to be able to give even more space to the topics of prevention, health promotion, nutrition, internal medicine and conservative cardiology in everyday life, Dr. Klewer will be joining Dr. Dr. on January 1, 2024. Nguyen to Düsseldorf, with whom he had already worked at the Lukas Hospital in Neuss.
In his free time, Dr. Klewer is an enthusiastic racing cyclist and has been regularly on the tennis court since he was a child. Traveling shouldn't be neglected either.
But the center of his life is his wife, his two sons and the Labradoodle dog Emmi.
